Introduction

MOSTM.O.S.T.（Media Oriented Systems Transport）Standards was be made by European 16 major carmakers together in 2000,The standard specified the plastic fiber as the data transmission medium, mainly support the entertainment information application, thereby the transfer speed of the car information up to 900Mbit/s.

    High-bandwidth networking technology: 24, 8Mbps (up to 15 stereo channels of CD quality)

  • 1. Control and signal information are carried on one plastically optic fiber (POF)
  • 2. Single system clock, No central processor
  • 3. No buffering at the individual nodes
  • 4. Automatically reconfiguring when new peripherals are plugged in or removed from the network (bandwidth is programmable on-the-fly)
  • 5.Delay between nodes is compensated for within the MOST specification (perfect synchronization)
