Hard Clad Silica Cable
- POF cable
- HCS Optical fiber
Product description
|
Plastic Optical Fiber (POF for short) looks like a nylon rope, which is transparent to visible light. POF Cable is made of Polymethil Metacrilate (PMMA) core, and fluorinated polymer cladding. Light travels inside the POF core while the cladding is the external 'cover' that generates the guiding effect forcing the light to follow the path of the fiber. POF Cable works like a common optical fiber cable, but there actually are some significant differences. Although fiber optical cable is commonly used now, POF has been called the "consumer" optical fiber due to the f cost of POF connectors and installation is low. |

Product description
|
HCS (Hard Clad Silica ) fiber optical cable is made with a hard Polymer Material applied over the glass core. This structure makes the fiber more rugged, crush resistant, flexible, and strong than Optical fiber, while lower attenuation and longer transmitting distance than Plastic optical fiber. HCS Cable can be used with FSMA, ST, and Versalink (V-PIN) connector) |
