An IPTV signal at 1 Gbit/s was verified on a siemens lab, this is a significant transmission rate. Siemens' test was operated over
100mwithout data compromise, showing that POF age is coming.
Due to high "attenuation" or loss over long distance,POF usage is limited. but with technology development, this problem is
solved, and POF is becoming to replace copper wire and the widely used glass MOST fiber, which is more expensive to work with.
Compared with Glass fiber, POF is much easier and cheaper on connecting and instal which makes POF an reliable solution for
home automation and home networking.
